This is a perfectly fine doll. It is jointed at neck, shoulders, and hips. (The neck joint is a tiny bit too loose.) it can be put in a sitting position and will stay there. The plastic has a little give, and is definitely scented.Only 3 stars because its complexion isn't exactly flesh tone--it's more tangerine. Seriously, folks, this doll is orange.
The doll was perfect for 3 my 3yo/6yo grandchildren - The doll fits "premie clothing and diapers". It can be sponged clean - fun for the kids to "wash it". What I didn't like is that it has an over powering smell of vanilla. I washed the doll, put it in the sun for days, and still you can smell it from across the room.
We have been looking for a doll that could be our little guys buddy! Our son has some special needs and has a trach and a g tube as he was born extremely premature. This dolll actually weighs close to his birth weight! We did “modify” the doll a bit and made “stomas” for the doll to also have a trach and g-tube. I applaud this company for having an array of colors and ethnicities for their doll selection. I only wish I could find dolls on the market that have these stomas or accessories for his special needs already. I always want my son to feel proud of everything he has gone through and overcome. I wanted this buddy for him to celebrate that while he has differences, they are evidence of so much of his strength.

Dimensions
The baby is supposed to be for educational purposes... The length is appropriate, but the width and "thickness" of the baby body is WAY too thin! Not impressed at all.
